10% Azelaic Serum

The most powerful product in the Dermaturm system. Built for one purpose — addressing the three surface concerns that affect skin most consistently: active acne, post-acne dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

HOW TO USE:

After cleansing, apply to slightly damp skin — not wet, not dry. Damp skin absorbs active ingredients up to 40% more effectively. Dispense two to three drops onto fingertips. Dot across five points — forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin. Press gently into skin. Never rub. Wait 60 seconds for full absorption before applying moisturiser. Advisable to be used at night.

For daytime use always follow with SPF 30 or higher. Azelaic acid increases UV sensitivity. SPF is not optional with this routine.

STARTING GUIDE:

Begin with once a week for the first week. Move to every other day in week two. Progress to daily from week three as your skin adjusts. For sensitive skin use the sandwich method — apply a thin layer of moisturiser first, then the serum, then moisturiser again. This buffers the active ingredient and reduces the chance of irritation.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

• Azelaic Acid 10% — dermatologist prescribed for acne, hyperpigmentation and rosacea. Kills acne-causing bacteria. Inhibits melanin overproduction. Fades existing dark spots. Prevents new ones forming.
• Alpha Arbutin — targets hyperpigmentation specifically on darker skin tones. Works synergistically with azelaic acid from a different cellular pathway for combined brightening effect significantly stronger than either ingredient alone.
  
• Niacinamide — regulates sebum production, strengthens the skin barrier, evens skin tone and makes the azelaic acid and alpha arbutin absorb more effectively.
  
• Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate — licorice root derivative with powerful anti-inflammatory and brightening properties. Soothes and supports the skin during active treatment.
  
• Panthenol — conditions and supports barrier health throughout the treatment process.
